Baker Mayfield‘s love for dogs is no secret. Interestingly, the QB, who raises dogs himself, also has a bunch of canine references and stories under his belt. Mayfield had been at the end of the famous ‘dawg pound of Browns‘. During his appearance at the ‘Ya Neva Know’ podcast, he also drew attention along with his dog Steven’s antics.
Mayfield found his perfect match in Emily Wilkinson, who shares his love for furry friends. Although Wilkinson might not have any famous ‘canine’ stories up her sleeve, looks like she does have a precious story to share.
A heartwarming canine tale
Wilkinson shared a heartwarming tale on her Instagram story published by the Washington Post. The article featured a lady Alison Moore, California precious pooch birthday party for her 100-year-old dad who loves dogs.
While she was scrambling for ideas to celebrate fathers 100 year birthday, Moore decided to throw in dogs to the celebration knowing it would be the perfect gift for her dad, who has a deep love for the four-legged friends.
”He just love, love, loves dog ”..the 60 year old last said.“Every dog he sees, he wants to pet. He has been like that his whole life”.
Moore made up her mind and about six days before she took to social media platforms like Facebook and Nextdoor to request dog owners who reside in San Jose, California to turn up for a pooch parade on June 17, her dad’s birthday.
“We live in a nice little community, and I thought I could get some of my neighbors and friends to come ”, said Moore. To her surprise, nearly 200 dogs showed up for the day and her dad got to pet and spend time with the furry friends.
Wilkinson was so moved by the precious gesture as she decided to share it with others. After all, being a crazy dog lover herself, just like her husband she could totally relate to the joy felt by the 100-year-old grandpa.
The duo’s unsatiable love for furry pals
The couple’s Instagram feed is filled with pics of their beloved pet pup Fergus. The duo adopted the dog back in 2022. In one of her Instagram posts, Wilkinson talked about how she got Fergus.

Emily herself often posts Mayfield snuggling with their dog. Similarly, Mayfield often gives sneak peeks of his furry friends on his own Instagram page.
