Upped vet replaces Lesoeur

PARIS — Pathe Intl. has its third new sales topper in less than a year after the promotion of long-serving exec Christine Hayet.

Hayet’s post-American Film Market appointment follows the departure of Anouchka Lesoeur, who held the job for less than a year after replacing outgoing sales topper Pascal Diot.

Hayet, who has been with Pathe for 12 years, adds foreign sales of fresh Pathe films to her existing responsibilities for sales of the film group’s catalog of 500 films and domestic sales to television.

In the U.K., Alison Thompson will continue to be responsible for films produced or acquired by Pathe U.K.

Vet indie exporter Jacques-Eric Strauss continues to handle Pathe productions helmed or produced by Claude Berri. At the upcoming Cannes Film Market, these will include the Gerard Jugnot-helmed $23.6 million “San Antonio” and helmer-thesp Yvan Attal’s $14 million “They Married and Had Lots of Children,” his second pic after “My Wife Is an Actress.” “Married” will premiere at the mart.
