Anastazia Dupee encountered French hotel with no doors separating the bathroom on her honeymoon

A newlywed bride has encountered her 'worst nightmare' while on her honeymoon - and millions of travellers have faced the same problem. Anastazia Dupee, from London, was jet-setting across Europe with her husband when the couple encountered a shocking issue.

Anastazia Dupee, from London, was jet-setting across Europe with her husband when the couple encountered a shocking issue.

Their French hotel room had no doors leading to the bathroom or toilet - with the bedroom right next to the facilities.

The English woman criticised the room's layout and couldn't understand why there was nothing closing off the shower and toilet area.

Anastazia was especially horrified that there was no barrier to muffle the sound of her using the toilet and agonised over how she would have to ask her husband to leave the room whenever she had to use the bathroom.

Anastazia shared a short clip of her hotel room's 'strange' layout.

'I just got to my hotel room in St Tropez and it is literally a nightmare for every girl who goes away with her boyfriend for the first few times,' she said.

'We've got the bedroom, but then you go into the bathroom and there's no door that closes it off.

'And once you're in the bathroom, there's no door to the toilet - nothing.'

Shocked, she added: 'It's right next to the bedroom and there's no door.'

Many of her fans tried to make sense of the design choice.

'Basically it's a trend,' a woman explained. 'They want to make the place look bigger than it actually is (for literally no logical reason).'

'Please, why are we cancelling doors? Literally no showers have them, and I get water everywhere,' a second said.

'I don't want the bathroom air to travel to the bedroom,' a man noted.

'I don't understand why it's so hard to put a door between the bathroom and the bedroom - it's so awkward not to have one,' a woman wrote.

'I've never understood this, or the glass door for the bathroom,' another complained.

While others expressed how uncomfortable they would feel in a similar room.

'I've been married for 12 years and I wouldn't like that,' a woman said.

'My husband has watched me give birth multiple times and helped with my hemorrhoids after - and I still would freak over no door to the toilet,' a mum wrote.

'I'd have to hold it in until I got home,' a woman added. 'I'd stay bloated the whole trip.'

'I don't know what I would do in such a scenario,' a woman said. 'I'd probably just ask my partner to go on a walk whenever I needed to use the bathroom.'
